As an entrepreneur, Huibert Uittenbogaard was eager to use his time, money and other resources in the best possible way: this eventually became the start of the group now called Impacto. The goal? To create employment worldwide according to 7 Biblical principles, and in doing so make a difference in the well-being of both people and the earth.

Nowadays, Huibert’s vision has translated into a number of successful initiatives, all COOL companies (Companies Of Our Lord), each of which, in its own way, is now making a daily impact on our society.

 Huibert’s Vision:

companies

Companies Of Our Lord

Corporate strength does not lie in individual strength or merit. We believe that in all companies we may work as stewards. Piece by piece, our companies are COOL companies, Companies of our Lord!

Creation Of Employment

Our dream: to create employment opportunities worldwide, so that people can take care of their own lives independently, from their own talents and skills. A key driver in our group is therefore the creation of meaningful jobs.

Biblical Values

From the inception of the group, Huibert’s goal has been to work from a Christian lifestyle as lived by the Lord Jesus Christ. From this came 7 Biblical principles that we try to live by at all times.

Ever since setting up the Impacto Group, Huibert has wanted to work with the values of Jesus Christ. Jesus looked after the vulnerable people in society: He fed them, made them better, gave them hope and finally He even gave His life for us.

The importance Huibert attached to His example has manifested itself in a number of principles, which we still try to pursue within each company today.

We want to ensure that all employees are treated respectfully at all times in communication, responsibility to be borne, and salary. Also, employees should have the opportunity to go to work with joy and fulfilment, and they should be able to support their families with the salary, no matter what country the company is in.

Even though we try to live up to these principles every day, there is of course always room for improvement, and this is where we, as a group, are continually trying to grow.

Impact the growing group

Treat Everyone With Respect.

Everyone the group comes into contact with, from employees to suppliers or customers, should be treated with respect and empathy.

Give every employee a fair salary.

Every employee should receive a decent salary, from which they can live well and pay for essential expenses.

Corruption will never be accepted.

The Impacto group has a zero-tolerance policy on corruption. Bribery or corruption is refused at all times and reported where neccesary.

Do what you promised.

Always do what you say you are going to do. If in the end you don’t succeed, let it be known. This applies to promises given to suppliers, customers, employees, government, your supervisor, your colleagues, etc.

Give everyone the responsibility they can handle.

To prevent excess stress, employees should never be over-asked, but shouldn’t be under-asked either, due to risk of demotivation. Therefore, management should take a special interest in each employee and make sure they are listened to.

Treat employees fairly.

The company’s ground rules should be clear beforehand. The employee’s job should be clearly explained before starting in the position so that employees always knows what is required of them.

Provide good products or services at a fair price.

All subsidiaries must offer products or services at a fair price, while always going for high quality.
